LLQP Pass Mark & Pilot Questions

Understand the score structure before you practise: each module has a 60% pass mark and includes pilot questions that do not count toward the final score.

Understand the scoring context without studying to the minimum.

Passing is the threshold, not the preparation strategy. Build enough depth that unfamiliar wording and application questions do not push you to the edge.

The harmonized LLQP is modular. Life, Accident & Sickness and Segregated Funds & Annuities each contain 35 questions, while Common Law Ethics contains 25. Five questions in each module are pilot questions excluded from the final score.

Can you identify the pilot questions?

No. They are integrated into the module. Treat every question seriously because you do not know which items count toward your final score.

What does a 60% pass mark mean for practice?

Do not target the minimum. A practice score only slightly above 60% can be fragile if the question mix changes. Use practice to build a margin and to identify competency areas where your performance is inconsistent.

Why module-level scores matter

The LLQP is not one combined 100-question licensing exam. Prepare for each module independently. A strong Life score does not compensate for a weak Ethics result.

LLQPprep distinction: the 100-question Mastery Challenge is broader retrieval practice. It should not be confused with the official provincial module format.
